Story: Junie was rescued from a shelter in North Carolina. We are so happy to have her safe and sound in a foster home in the DC area now. Junie is a happy sweetie who loves people and gets along great with other dogs and puppies. She knows just how to get comfortable up on the couch with her humans, and will love to join you on walks and trots around the neighborhood. Junie is just looking for someone to be her new best furend and we know that she will repay them with endless amounts of love and tail wags. Like all dogs, Junie will need an adopter who is committed to setting her up for success by enrolling in obedience training and exercising her both mentally and physically. She will also need love, patience, and socialization in order to thrive!
What my foster says: We are loving having Junie with us as our foster! She’s very sweet and fit right in with our family as soon as she got here. She’s been great with our kids and our dog. At home, Junie likes to play, run around the yard and chew on toys. After all the playing, her favorite thing to do is to curl up next to someone on the couch. She loves to gently lay her head on a lap or a shoulder. Junie has been sleeping in her crate at night, and waits for us to wake up before making any noise. She’s doing excellent with house training as well. Junie would be an excellent fit for a family with kids or a family that is looking to get a second dog. She likes going on walks, and has been walking over a mile with us in the mornings. She’s still getting used to some of the things she sees out there - she’s not a fan of e-bikes or UPS trucks - but she’s gotten more comfortable every day. Junie is such a fun and sweet girl. Any family would be lucky to have her!
The fee to adopt Junie is $475. That covers the cost of all her vaccines, the collar she’s wearing, her transport to DC and her care in her foster home. She’s up to date on all age appropriate vaccines.
