Story: Chief was rescued from a shelter in North Carolina with his sister Eagle - any football fans here? We are so happy to have them safe and sound in a foster home in the DC area now. Chief is a happy sweetie who loves people and gets along great with other dogs and puppies. He knows just how to get comfortable up on the couch with his humans, and will love to join you on walks and trots around the neighborhood. Chief is just looking for someone to be his new best furend and we know that he will repay them with endless amounts of love and tail wags. Like all dogs, Chief will need an adopter who is committed to setting him up for success by enrolling in obedience training and exercising him both mentally and physically. He will also need love, patience, and socialization in order to thrive!
What my foster says: Eagle and Chief are absolutely incredible puppies! They are currently living in a foster home with two adults, a 3 year old toddler, and three large dogs - and they get along amazingly with all of them. Eagle and Chief are gentle with our daughter and take cues very well from our grumpier old dogs. They are almost fully housebroken, crate trained, and are working on their basic commands. As far as energy level - they are the perfect combination of active and cuddly. We believe that Eagle and Chief would make the perfect match for almost any family.
The fee to adopt Chief is $450. That covers the cost of all his vaccines, the collar he’s wearing, his transport to DC and his care in his foster home. He’s up to date on all age appropriate vaccines. Chief has been seen by a shelter vet and was given a clean bill of health.
